Internet Explorer 9 has broken my heart and maybe your website

On March 17th, three days after Internet Explorer 9's (IE9) release date, I wrote a cautiously optimistic post about it maybe not sucking. It turns out I was wrong. And since it was Saint Patrick's Day, I might have been something else as well and that is how I will explain it to my future biographer.

Last week we identified a bug in IE9 that won't let your IE9 users checkout in Magento. We also subsequently uncovered a crafty hot-fix for most Magento sites, but now we find out that's not all you get when you download Microsoft's latest browser!

Magento Checkout with Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) - Cant Select Credit Card

Grrrr! IE is at it again. For some unexplained reason IE9 will not allow users to checkout in Magento Community or Enterprise if there is only one payment option selected... like a credit card for example.

With the release of IE 9, Microsoft has, at least according to their press release, created the "most modern browser" available. And while that remains to be seen it certainly appears to be an improvement over the ie 7 and 8 and of course over the browser that shall not be named. (hint: it came right before 7).

My main concern is that it doesn't break any of our sites.
