We’ve been talking a lot lately about the 2nd annual NEXT Conference. And for good reason. It’s our biggest event of the year. But it’s not our only major conference in September. That’s because NEXT is scheduled in conjunction with the 2018 Digital Summit Detroit, to be held on Sept. 12-13 at Cobo Center. I’d like to take some time today to tell you a bit about why we scheduled NEXT to partner with DSD, and why we love this particular digital marketing conference so much that we have become an annual sponsor.
When our team began discussions in 2016 of hosting a client conference, we knew two things: that it would be focused on eCommerce, and that we wanted to tie it to the Digital Summit Detroit. There were many logistical reasons at play in the making of that decision; many of our clients travel from across the country to attend NEXT, our own team was certainly going to attend DSD, and having the opportunity to attend both events was (and is) too good an opportunity to pass up. As a 2017 sponsor, we had the opportunity to host the DSD Kickoff party for nearly 150 attendees of both events at the Detroit Beer Company. The evening provided guests time to network and begin company introductions before the rush of the conference. In 2018, the Human Element team is focusing our energy on making a true presence during Digital Summit Detroit, bringing in our power players to meet with attendees at the booth and grow our agency’s knowledge base through the workshops available this year.
Simply put, we are super fans of this annual conference because Digital Summit Detroit is one of the absolute best eCommerce conferences in the midwest. And you can tell because it continues to grow year over year. We’re nearly guaranteed to be accompanied by both familiar and new faces in 2018 as more and more digital marketing professionals flock to it.
