Web Quality Assurance Specialist

Human Element has an immediate opening for a creative, team-oriented Web Quality Assurance Specialist. The ideal candidate will have retail ecommerce experience, web applications experience, and experience with industry standard QA tools. The Web Quality Assurance Specialist will have experience automating tests and creating, executing and analyzing performance tests.

Digital Marketing Specialist

Human Element has an immediate opening for an experienced, enthusiastic Digital Marketing Strategist. The eCommerce Digital Marketing Strategist will work directly with their clients and Human Element’s internal teams to promote eCommerce growth through ongoing management of multiple marketing channels across a growing portfolio of clients.

The Digital Marketing Strategist must be both as critical and curious as they are analytical and responsive, and will spend a large amount of time processing data from marketing tools such as SEMRush, Screaming Frog and Google Analytics.

The Strategist must be confident in their ability to effectively analyze data and implement new strategies based on observations. This individual must be able to communicate the results of their efforts to clients, and be comfortable discussing any success or failures with client contacts within C-level positions.

Key responsibilities will include keyword research and strategy, developing and implementing digital content, managing and building out paid ad campaigns on Google, Bing, Facebook and other social media, as well as reporting and ongoing management of implemented strategies. This individual will work daily alongside a (super) enthusiastic team of Strategists who care deeply about their work and their team. Must give a shit.


    • Ongoing, open communication with clients regarding marketing initiatives.
    • Conduct keyword research to identify keyword opportunities and define an overall strategy to drive qualified traffic to client websites.
    • Construct new paid search campaigns, ad groups, and accounts.
    • Provide recommendations for keyword opportunities, campaign structuring, and targeting based on user data.
    • Management of keyword bids to maintain, daily, weekly, and monthly budgets VS spend across each account, quality score and other important account metrics.
    • Monitor and evaluate search results and search performance across the major search channels.
    • Monitor and administer web analytics dashboards, reports and key reporting tools, and point out key areas of importance in accordance client goals.
    • Generate weekly and monthly client reporting for all major metrics, goals tracking, revenue tracking, and other paid search initiatives.
    • Identify shortcomings in existing strategies and provide guidance in their resolution.
    • Makes recommendations for overall site structure and technical improvements to improve quality scores and organic search results to growl conversions.

    Executes website audits and makes actionable recommendations for improvement in conversion and user experience.


    The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in:

    • Pay Per Click Advertising (PPC) – Management of eCommerce Google and Bing Ads campaigns across search and display networks.
    • CSEs – Management of shopping engines such as Google Shopping and Amazon.
    • Social Media Management – Posting and moderating pages with 10k followers or more.

    Search Engine Optimization (SEO) – Employing up to date and timely strategies for organic growth across eCommerce pages:

    • Technical SEO – Knowledge of external SEO factors, search engine algorithms and their impact on search.
    • On-Page SEO – Advanced knowledge of content strategy and development.
    • Link Building – Understanding of domain authority and relationship building.


    • Comfortable communicating directly with clients, including contacts in C-level positions.
    • Current Google Ads Certification.
    • Advanced SEO writing and editing skills with adaptable writing style.
    • Advanced SEO technical infrastructure understanding like robots.txt, sitemaps, URL structure, page titles and headings, image tags, title tags, broken links.
    • Ability to develop paid search content and display ad content.
    • Ability to work under tight project deadlines and manage multiple assignments while also maintaining high standards of accuracy, SEO best practices and legal compliance.
    • Ability to analyze Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and platform product sales reports and provide actionable insights.


    • 3+ years in marketing manager role or ecommerce agency experience.
    • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, keyword research tools (SEO Moz, Wordtracker, or other).
    • Experience with paid search strategy, including PPC text ads, Google shopping, remarketing, etc.
    • Experience building paid social media campaigns
    • Magento or other eCommerce development experience a plus

  • PHP Developer

    Human Element is seeking a full-time PHP Developer to join our development team in Ann Arbor. This individual will work on existing client maintenance as well as new eCommerce builds, from initial business development and discovery phases through implementation and deployment of the completed website.

    Web Project Manager

    Human Element is seeking a Project Manager to join our growing team in Ann Arbor. The Project Manager manages and drives web design/development projects, works with both creative and technical project teams, and is responsible for producing projects on time and on budget.
