It’s that time again. The annual Magento Imagine Conference is here, and Human Element is hitting that #RoadToImagine. There are some new and exciting things happening this year that we’re stoked about, so we’ve gathered up our favorite tips and compiled them into the Top Ten Things for Your Best Magento Imagine Ever.

10.  Make Your Schedule and Sync It Up with Your Team

It’s tough to decide on the fly which sessions and activities to attend, especially if you want to coordinate with your team.  General and Breakout Sessions, evening activities, and finding time to hang out with your Magento friends at some point can be tough to juggle. There doesn’t appear to be an Imagine app as of publishing time, so it’s probably extra important to sync your calendars.

9.  Come Kick It at The Partner Summit

If you’re a technology or solutions partner, Sunday will be extra special. We’ll be gathering up at 1 p.m. for the Partner Summit to check out updates from both the Solution Partner and Technology Partner/ Marketplace teams, as well as get an opportunity to interact with Magento Executive Leadership. Magento will also reveal this year’s coveted Partner Awards. I’m pretty sure we’re a shoo in for the Circle of Excellence Award (That’s totally not a real award).

8.  Join the #MagentoImagine Social Train

Missing a session to spend some quality time in the hot tub? Stay connected and catch up on all the highlights on social media with the #magentoimagine hashtag. There’s no such thing as too many Tweets, right…? Right???

7.  Attend the Legendary Imagine Party

There’s always one guy who falls in the pool at this party. If you can avoid being that guy, it’s usually a pretty kickass time with great eats, entertainment, and dancing. Watch out for the swag shower at this event, too. Last year’s included glow-themed glasses, headbands, and jewelry. It was pretty much a rave, but with software nerds and sales guys everywhere.

6.  Show Your Clients a Little Love

For last year’s Annual Human Element Appreciation Event, we dragged our clients down to the Las Vegas High Roller, which is essentially a giant, slow-moving ferris wheel stocked with unlimited booze. Minus the bachelorette party that we were lucky enough to share our pod with (LOTS of Woo girls in Vegas), it afforded us some sweet views of The Strip and no one lost their mind in a height-related panic attack. Really though, find some of your new buddies and experience a little bit of Vegas in the off hours just to get away for a bit. Our suggestion for this year: The Dig & Destroy Package from Dig This Las Vegas. Or for something a little chiller, you could always join the Nexcess Party at Top Golf.

5.  Do the Big Dam Run

Big Dam Run
I’m the giant dork in the front row with the teal shoes.

When you think “Magento Imagine Conference,” you probably don’t think “sprinting through the desert” unless your trip to Vegas has gone horribly awry. Enter the Big Dam Run. Last year, I made it a point to join about 200 other people for the 5/10k along the Hoover Dam on the first day of the conference. It was super fun, and I made some new friends I probably otherwise wouldn’t have. This year, we’re busting out on Sunday morning at 8 a.m. again.  Check out the photos from last year and register before all the seats on the busses are gone.

4.  Go See Jamie Foxx

This year’s featured speaker is Jamie Foxx. In addition to his outstanding work in film and TV, Mr. Foxx has achieved a thriving career in music with five solo albums under his belt. There’s lots to learn from this co-creative director for eyewear brand, Privé Revaux, a Magento 2 B2B store.

3.  M2 Trainings & Certifications

This year, you can get 50% off your Magento 2 Certification if you take it in Vegas. You can also take an extended M2 training for a special price, as well. Cram all you need to know about M2 into this week and come home a genius.

2.  Visit Human Element in Booth #26

Human Element will be sponsoring this year! And we have a real booth! Come crash our party in Booth 26 right near the main Magento Booth. We’d love to chat and get to know you. You can always fill out this form if you want to make a really REAL appointment with us to discuss. Also. We have awesome swag: combination sunglasses/bottle openers. You’ll have to see them to believe them.

1.  Get Down and Dirty with the Networking

I love getting to know people, but sometimes struggle with a mild introvert streak. These four days are a rare opportunity to make some new friends that speak the Magento language and know your business. I plan to step outside my comfort zone and really try to connect with some new folks. I’m hoping you’ll be one of them.

If you read this far, I’d love to hear your favorite Magento Imagine traditions. Let’s do this thing.
